In a modern day society where the pressure to perform, whether it be at work, home, clubs, committees, or community commitments, takes a huge toll on our available time and energy, more people are neglecting to move enough to sustain optimal health and we are seeing an epidemic rise in the number of people succumbing to modern day degenerative illnesses.

Cardiovascular exercise

We will be running information seminars to educate and help you to understand the concept of the 12-week challenge. Anyone interested may attend; you do not have to be a member of Pro-Fitness or registered for the challenge. We do ask you that you register with Reception at Pro-Fitness Northwood (ph 03 3662221 #1) so that we have enough seats.
How do I start?
We start with a goal setting and planning seminar to help you get started, and then monitor and motivate you through your journey with controlled measurements, mentoring, and teaching you how to reach your maximum results from the effort you put in.
You can transform your body and make permanent lifestyle changes through our planned 12-week challenge program. With prescribed exercise, optimal nutrition, and motivational assistance from your Results Based Trainer and education through a series of seminars.
How can it help me?
Simply, it works at helping you throw away old habits and set you on a new path. Completing the 12 week challenge will give you a new understanding of how to create a more balanced life with more energy to continue to set new and exciting challenges for yourself.
By taking control of your health and fitness, you are able to successfully undertake other challenges in your life- family, work, study, relationships, and life in general.
I've been on lots of diets and weight loss programs that don't work, what's the difference?
Diets don't work. This is not about deprivation, it's all about moderation and choice. Successful weight management is a lifestyle choice, not a quick fix. You take control of your weight and maintain positive lifestyle changes with the right knowledge, the right nutrition and the right exercise choices.

What will it cost?
1. Registration for the challenge may be paid by a single upfront payment of $349 prior to and including 3rd March 2007.
Or
2. $399 in weekly or monthly installments over the 12-week period, with no payment required until the start of challenge.
All participants must be Pro-Fitness members, and special 12-week memberships are available for the duration of the challenge at a discounted price of $199 (not normally offered!)
*Results Based Training although strongly recommended, is an optional extra.

2006 12 Week Challenge Member
I have learnt for me;
* Weight loss is not about kilos, its about centimeters
* All food is ok to eat…. in moderation
* Daily exercise does not have to be like taking a journey to hell and back each day
In January of this year I joined Pro-Fitness and was assigned a personal trainer, James Thomas. In March I joined the ‘Onelifefitness’s’ 12 week challenge led by Leanne Roulston.
I won’t bore you with the reasons that I have become overweight, the fact is, although I believe my reason is valid somewhere in that reason I have made an excuse to become what I was earlier this year. Prolonged bad food choices and lack of exercise does not innocently happen.
During the 12 week challenge I lost 71.5 centimeters and 6.2 kilos. The amount of kilos I lost pales into comparison when I look at the centimeters hence I am now driven by centimeters rather than kilograms.
This of course would not have been anywhere near possible had it not have been for James and Leanne. James and Leanne both presented me with different solutions, ideas, support and encouragement to reach my goal of losing centimeters.
Leanne and her team presented so much outstanding information on nutrition, goal setting, training and long term better health options, as well as providing an extremely motivating, friendly and accessible environment in which to discuss ideas, problem solve and have a laugh.
The extra group activities, circuit class, Bridle Path walk, Burwood Forest outing and the trip to Roxx proved that exercising can be fun and not all grind.
James, what can I say, this guy has an incredible ability to relate to people, he gets the very best from me, he pushes me when I think I could not go on, he has helped me achieve targets I did not think possible.
I always wondered what sort of person has a personal trainer and why if someone wants to exercise they need someone to ‘hold their hand’. I now realise that having James train with me, I am more accountable for reaching my goals, that I do need to be pushed and made to go that bit further, that without a James I would be soft on myself and make excuses for my lack of effort.
If anyone reading this is remotely thinking of stopping making excuses and start losing some centimeters then Pro-Fitness and Onelifefitness have a team that can get you looking the way you want. My before and after photos speak for themselves, go on challenge yourself, I guarantee along with losing some centimeters you will meet some fantastic people in the process. I’ve only told you about two of them.
