Zoe Baker - Sprint Swimmer

5 Time World Record Holder and Commonwealth Champion

I have noticed huge benefits from doing this course and I highly recommend it.  I was a bit sceptical at first as to what it could really do for me as a pure sprinter, but the results have been outstanding!

I first noticed I could cope with a higher volume of work in the pool without breaking down as fast.  My aerobic work has increased over the past few seasons and that's something I do not particulary enjoy.  However I have noticed that aerobic work comes far easier now, and that has transferred into my higher intensity work.

In general I have noticed my recovery time and asthma have improved greatly.  I also guess the biggest improvemnent for me was with jet lag.  The past few years Ii have struggled more with long haul travel, even though I have commuted annually from New Zealand to England for over 10 years now.  I was becoming concerned with my adapation and recovery time after each flight.  It was effecting my training/racing following such a flight.

However since my SAT at PerformO I have flown from New Zealand to Europe 3 times in the last 3 months.  Each time I have suffered a maximum of 48 hours jet lag, and then I have jumped straight back into hard work in the pool and  at the gym.  This has been great news, especially since another benefit has been that I have not suffered any major illness over the past 12 weeks.  This is unusual for me due to the workload I have placed myself under this season.
